New Zealand

New Zealand is a nation of islands. It has 2 main islands (North Island and South Island) and its long narrow shape, combined with consistent breezes, ensure a clean unpolluted country.

New Zealand Honey

New Zealand honey is unique and can be divided by both region and floral sources.

New Zealand’s sharply differing regional climates combined with natural diversity of flora types ensure honeys are unique with subtle variations of flavours and aroma from region to region. Even the New Zealand family favourite, Clover honey, is subtly different from each region.

More than 15 floral honey types are produced commercially. As well as these mono floral varieties, Beekeepers create interesting blend. This can be by placing hives in certain positions so that bees combine nectars of different flowers, or by blending honey in the honey house.

The high rainfall and mountainous interior leads to very green and spectacular scenery.

The sub-tropical climate gives us a number of unique native honeys.
